.GOV.UK Domains in 2014

As I had nothing better to do last weekend, I downloaded a list of all .gov.uk domains, which is published yearly by the government and used this to find out which frameworks, languages and servers are there behind the domains.

The only reasonable outcome is that Microsoft technologies are used a lot and ASP powers most of the apps. I haven’t updated the gem to analyse domains for 3 years, so there’s no detection of Angular.js or any other new technology. I’m sorry about that. If I have more spare weekends, I might prepare better stats or I’ll just do something more useful with my time (learn to dance salsa or play the bongos).

Anyway, enjoy the stats 🙂
